My time here at Lake Shore is now coming to an end. It is truly amazing how fast time goes by. All good times must eventually come to an end, and it is time to put high school in our past and to start looking on to our futures. Although I did not reach my goal of being in the top 2 in my class, I am extremely proud that I came close and ended at number 4. I am extremely proud of the person whom I have turned out to be over the past 4 years here in high school. Right now I have many options to choose from in a job for over the summer. Right now I am leaning more towards becoming a tutor at Kumon for over the summer. I feel as though that would be a perfect job for me since I want to become a teacher in the future. I have applied for as many scholarships as I could, and I'm hoping that I can win a few of them. As I said before, it is time to put our pasts behind us, but at the same time, we can never forget where we came from. Lake Shore High School has helped shape me into the person and student that I am today. It will definitely be a sad day saying goodbye, but at the same time I believe that I am ready to make that next step in my life. I have my room and board all taken care of at MSU for the fall. No matter where life takes me, I will never forget where I came from.
Right now I am doing really well with my future goals. I have completed almost all of my scholarship papers and submitted them all in. It was such a relief knowing that I had gotten that all taken care of. I also completed a bunch of things for Michigan State, including my room and board. My room is all taken care of, and I am glad I got that all taken care of. My grades are still looking good although school is a little overwhelming right now. I'm sure I will get through it all and once again finish my classes with all A's.

I was thinking that that could have been me. That would honestly be so amazing if I knew that I have saved over $50,000. As a kid, you could basically buy whatever you want. This video definitely inspired me to want to be successful. It would be a great feeling knowing that you have money available whenever you need it. This video gave me hope knowing that I too could also be successful someday. I want to be that guy that others look at as an inspiration, just like this kid. A money making opportunity that I could one day achieve would also be involving stocks. With a little bit of research and help from my parents, I too could invest some money into stocks to try to make some money.
A lot of people see success as being "just good enough". These people settle with only being average. Why settle for average if you know you can do better? Whenever it comes to something such as a test, I always strive to do the best in the class. If I can't achieve that, then in my mind I have failed. To me, success is reaching the farthest you can possibly reach. You should always put in that extra work so you can be the best at what you do. Constantly set goals for yourself. Instead of just reaching that goal, strive to do even better. That is how I view success.
Senior year is slowly winding down to an end. So far I have been doing a great job at staying on task and getting my work done. As I mentioned with my senior year ending, I am starting to feel that "Senioritis" slowly starting to kick in. Where I can grow with my life right now is that I can do better with my homework. Instead of starting to slack off, I should try to improve with my schoolwork. I want to finish my final year of high school off strong.
I have seen and experienced so many things in my four years of high school. One thing that I am very proud of about myself is that I have never given into peer pressure. I always try my best to mind my own business and stay out of trouble. Another thing I am very proud of about myself is that I am very committed, especially with my AP Classes. I work hard every night getting my homework done and everything else that's involved with it. I work hard with all my school work, and I am very proud of the person I have become.
One of my trimester goals is to start saving money for college. So far, I am getting a good head start. I have already been starting to fill out scholarship papers that are due at the end of the month. I have also been researching how much my college tuition will be. For one year, it costs around $30,000 to attend Michigan State. They are only offering me $8,500 to attend there. As I said, I am continuing to work hard to keep more scholarships coming in. Every penny counts!
